Metropolis, P.A. was founded in 2005 by Trish Flaherty. After listening to many people say over and over again that they didn't have the time to get everything done they needed to because of work and family commitments, and after much research, Metropolis, P.A. was created.

Metropolis, P.A. provides personal assistant and errand services to businesses and indivduals. We have over 18 years of experience within the corporate atmosphere and understand the demands of a busy, hectic schedule working outside of the home. Our mission is to take away some of the stress of doing necessary errands or projects for you so that you can focus on your career and family instead.

Trish Flaherty has over 18 years of experience within the corporate field of sales and marketing. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, she moved to Des Moines in 1987. She attended DMACC and graduated in 1990 with an AS Degree in Criminal Justice. She then transferred to Drake University and graduated in 1993 with a BA Degree in Sociology. Since then she has been working in the field of sales and marketing with an emphasis on customer service in various corporate fields - Legal, Insurance, Real Estate, and Staffing/Human Resources. Throughout her career she has learned that quality customer service is an absolute priority.

Since starting her own family in 2003, she realized the demands of working outside the home in the fast paced, corporate environment and trying to be there for her family were at odds with each other. The concept behind Metropolis, P.A. was born with the sincere desire to help make life easier and more enjoyable for individuals at an affordable cost.
